Airman. Joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1917 and served with RAF in Egypt in 1918. Commercial pilot in New Zealand and Scotland before joining West Australian Airways in 1924, flying on the north-west routes. In 1929, joined in the search for Kingsford-Smith who crashed in the Kimberleys. Completed the England-Australia Centenary race in 1934. Joined McRobertson Miller Airlines, 1934-1947, then formed his own company, Woods Airways in 1947. From the description of Papers. 1903-1988....
